Sauces or dips are quintessential accompaniments in all cuisines across the globe. They may have different names and preparations but the utility remains the same. Any appetizer or starter requires a dip or sauce which compliments it in all ways. Finding an apt dip or sauce for the appetizer is a challenge. It should be a perfect wedding between both in all aspects like flavour, colour, and texture.
Here, I made this special, customized dip for my Potato Cheese Croquettes.

It’s an Instant, No-cooking Mayo-Ketchup sauce or Fry sauce. It’ll be ready in a flash by just stirring in Mayonnaise and Tomato Ketchup with some spices and herbs. Here, I prepared it with my Homemade Mayonnaise and Homemade ketchup (click the hyperlink for the recipe).
This Fry sauce is a smooth, creamy cold sauce that can be used as a condiment, dressing, dip, and spread. It’s made of few ingredients but rich in texture and taste. The added advantage of this sauce is that it’s absolutely Zero cooking, yes, it’s a NO COOKING recipe. It’s a super easy recipe and can be prepared maximum in a couple of minutes.
My Homemade Mayonnaise recipe has 3 different mayos with and without egg. I also prepared Vegan mayos with Plant extract milk like soy and another with Aquafaba. Apart from these 3 mayos, I prepared 3 variations using the mayo namely BBQ mayo, Indianised Tartar sauce, and Green mayo.
Similarly, my Homemade ketchup is a one-pot dish. I made Classic BBQ and Smoky BBQ sauce using this ketchup.
Now let’s get into this recipe.
Keep all the ingredients ready on the counter.
In a wide bowl, add ¼ cup of homemade Mayonnaise and ¼ cup of homemade tomato ketchup.
To this add ¼ tsp of garlic powder. You can keep this optional if you don’t prefer garlic flavour. Then add 1/8th tsp of salt.
Later add ¼ tsp of chilli powder and a pinch of black pepper powder.
Finally, add ½ tsp of dried Parsley. You can add any dried herbs available to you. If any of the dried herbs are not available, just add finely chopped fresh coriander or parsley leaves.
Combine everything together. Check the consistency. If it’s too thick, dilute it with water. Adjust the consistency as per your requirement.
Creamy, silky, Mayo-Ketchup or Fry sauce is ready to serve with Potato cheese croquettes.
Yam Ridge gourd cutlet, Bird’s nest, Indian Arancini balls, Rice koftas,, or simple French fries. It has a cocktail of flavours that just burst in your mouth and enrapture all your senses.
