While doing Ragda fusion, Ragda Vol-Au-Vent, bread cases were made from bread slices. Discs were cut from bread slices and you’ll be left with the crust and the remaining leftout bread. You may wonder what to do with these crusts and leftover cut breads. Don’t panic and discard it.
I’ll save your pocket, by turning these unusable bread pieces into usable ingredient, thus proving nothing is waste in the kitchen,..😍😍.
Air fry or toast them in tawa till it becomes crisp. Then add it to the mixer jar, grind it as a fine powder, your instant homemade bread crumbs are ready. You can make a variation, by adding required salt, chilli powder, mixed herbs ( dried oregano, parsley, rosemary, basil, thyme). It turns out to be your homemade seasoned bread crumbs, which works out cheaper than the store-bought.
Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for longer shelf life. You can use these bread crumbs to dust the patties, cutlets, rice koftas, or Indian Arancini balls, Potato Cheese Jalapeno Croquettes which I’ve made in my previous posts. Let’s get into the recipe.
Take the crusts and leftover cut breads. You can air fry them or toast them on tava or even deep fry them in oil.
Air fry them till it turns crispy.
Transfer them into the mixer jar.
Grind till it becomes a fine powder, if you want a coarse texture grind accordingly.
Store the bread crumbs in an airtight container and has a longer shelf life if kept in refrigerator.
