🪔This is equally healthy and easy recipe, which involves millet vermicelli, easily available in stores. Feel free to replace with regular vermicelli if millet vermicelli is not available🪔
🪔Let’s move on to this recipe. Roast the millet vermicelli, grind it into a coarse powder like Rava/Semolina. Then prepare this sweet, it tastes resembles sheera/kesari. Make sure, you buy new stock of vermicelli to avoid any rancid taste. In all my millet sweet recipes, I used jaggery powder, you can also use white sugar or cane sugar🪔
🪔This simple recipe involves basic ingredients available in your kitchen cabinets. Process is as simple even a newbie can ace through it🪔

Ingredients:
Foxtail millet/Thinai Vermicelli grounded -1 cup
Ghee-¼ cup + ¼ cup
Hot milk-2 cup
Jaggery powder -3/4 cup
Cardamom powder-½ tsp
Nutmeg powder-a pinch
Instructions:
- 🪔Dry roast 2 cups of Foxtail millet/Thinai Vermicelli for 4-5 minutes on low flame, till it turns golden brown.
- 🪔Then grind it into small particles like semolina, it yields roughly 1 cup.
- 🪔Sauté the ground millet in ¼ cup Ghee for 2-3 minutes.
- 🪔Now gradually add 2 cup hot milk, mix well. Open and cook on low heat for 3-4 mins, then close and cook for another 7 mins.
- 🪔Then add jaggery powder along with cardamom powder and nutmeg powder sauté for 2 mins till it gets incorporated.
- 🪔Add ¼ cup ghee,mix well. Close and cook for 2 mins on low flame, it starts leaving the edges and forms a solid mass.
- 🪔Switch off the flame, garnish with nuts of your choice.
